I Get By with a Little Help from My Friends

"The time to relax is when you don't have time for it." - Sydney J. Harris

With planning in full gear and the wedding less than 6 months away, it's pretty easy to glance at those checklists and calendars and contracts and craft supplies, get frazzled and have those moments.

So what's a bride to do?

Over the past few months, I've pieced together a little anti-stress recipe that gets me through these moments of madness. Simple but so helpful, I've found myself to be leaning on it a lot more as the wedding rapidly approaches.

So here it is, bees - I hope these bits can be helpful for my fellow brides who just need a little help now and then.  :)

Miss Ostrich's Wedding Anti-Stress Recipe

Ingredients:

your favorite scented candle
{this is mine!}
{fig by henri bendel via bath & body works}

your favorite photo of you and your love
{the Ostriches in San Jose Del Cabo - best.vacation.ever}

Directions:

1. Stop

put down that wedding list. shut down your computer. put your phone on silent. and light that candle of yours :)

2.  Look

...at that day when you and your love were so ridiculously happy. Do you remember that feeling? Good! That's what your wedding is all about.

...at your favorite inspirational photo. Soak it in. And clear out all that crazy wedding clutter in your head.

3. Let Go

play that feel good song...
and enjoy the little things that make you happy -
a bubble bath
your favorite chick flick
a stroll along the shore
or a much needed nap.
whatever it is, do it, savor it and fill yourself back up with the things that matter.  :)

{makes 60 minutes of rest and rejuvenation}

Now it's your turn, bees - how do you diffuse that pesky wedding anxiety? The more tips, the better :)
