Memories + Mixtapes

"If music be the food of love, play on." - Shakespeare

Hi Bees!

With all of the big stuff booked and bought, Mr. Ostrich & I are now working on the little bits...which to us, mean just as much as the big ones.  :)

What are we starting with first?

The favors!

I had mentioned that Mr. O and I are major music fans, right? Our entire life, including the 10 years we've had together, has not only a sea of memories, but also an endless soundtrack to accompany each major moment in our lives. Mr. Ostrich stole my heart with the first mixtape {cd} - an 80's new wave+motown serenade -  he made me many moons ago. For every road trip, adventure and new season, i whip up a new playlist. Because for us, a little music makes everything better!

So when the topic of wedding favors came around, we knew, without a doubt, we wanted to make a little "soundtrack" of our weekend in paradise.:)

Now came the trickier part - searching for design inspiration. We wanted the CD to look like a cool record store album, not a wedding favor. And after a little browsing, here are a few of the awesome ideas we came across:

Who new CD favors could look so cool? As we speak, with too many photos, fonts and colors to consider, we're narrowing down our "album cover" and CD label designs, created by the Ostrich duo, down to the final picks. Then we'll edit down our soundtrack down to our favorite 11 tunes. And once those are ready to go....it's time to put these beauties together!

And while the final design is yet to be revealed, today I thought I'd share with you how to make a CD wedding soundtrack of your own...Ostrich style.  :)
